Sis Wilcox will no longer be doing the choir at the church. We have had a very poor turnout, and so we have decided to give each ward (YM/YW) a copy of the music on CD, and the sheet music for the youth to learn for trek. Be looking for an email soon to give you details. If anyone would like help with these songs. We would be more than happy to come in and teach them. Music is an imperative part of Trek. Music brings the spirit to our gathering, and will set the tone for us. We would like the youth to know these songs as much as possible as it will bring togetherness.
Attention Ma/Pa's- We have added a Ma/Pa packing list.

Wednesday night was our Youth Kickoff for Trek. The turnout was phenomenal!! We heard from Shinea about a trek experience, and from Bro. and Sis Tadd about their Ma/Pa experience on Trek. Hopefully some of you got the goodies that were thrown out into the congregation! Remember deodorant, and wipes will be your best friends on Trek!!What a fun talk! We also heard from Lexie Duncan about proper shoe attire! Tennis shoes are best. The ones with tread. Converse, and Vans are probably not your best choice. After Lexie, we heard from Bryce, and Desiree about the clothing requirements. They showed us how all our clothes, and things for Trek should fit into a 5 lb. bucket. That bucket will be weighed, and can be no heavier than 17lbs. Our Youth Committee was introduced, and we heard beautiful music from Sis. Norton, and an amazing youth choir was put together by Sis Wilcox. We are so blessed to have her. There were solos, and angelic harmony!! Our youth are fabulous! Pres. Fitch closed the meeting, and talked to us about preparation, blisters, and painted toes. His painted toes that is.... WHAT?? It was a wonderful talk. We had fresh bread as a refreshment with honey butter. That is just a little taste of the great food we will enjoy on Trek. Please be advised that all permission forms should be signed, and handed in. They were due on March 6th. If you have not done so get them in quick!
Last of all, making your clothing will be a great opportunity to learn valued skills. For the YW remember that these things can be passed off as 10 hour projects for Personal Progress. Just take one thing at a time! If you are going to buy from the DI, now would probably be a good time to do that.

Tiffany Barney is over the Clothing Committee. Each ward has a clothing specialist that has been called by the Stake. This person will be in charge of getting your wards together to help the YW/YM, and any others who are attending Trek. We would love the youth to make as much of their clothing as possible. This will be a great opportunity for a YW to pass of some Personal Progress, and YM to learn valuable skills. Tiffany has all the patterns your wards will need for shirts, skirts, bonnets and aprons. All skirts, or dresses are to be of light calico material. No bold patterns, or bold colors. Anything that looks "pioneer- ish". Bonnets are required! No other hats will be allowed. The boys are asked to wear docker pants, and white collared shirts. No baseball caps. Donations from Ward members of clothing, or material is greatly appreciated! We will go over all of the clothing requirements at the Trek Kick-Off. If you have any questions you can contact Tiffany.
